System Types

Grid-Tied (GT)

This system type includes PV modules, inverter, balance of system (racking, mounting hardware, flashing, ground clips, lugs, all wiring, combiner box, fuses and installation). 

Example: A 3.2kW grid-tie system will produce about 450kW hours of green power per month and save about 3.4 tons of CO2 per year, totaling a savings of about 82 tons of CO2 over 25 years. This system simply connects into your electrical grid and offsets utility power (net metering). To get power when the grid is down, you need to upgrade to a “Hybrid”  system (aka: Grid-tie with Battery Back up).

Hybrid Systems (GTBB)

These are premium systems which offset your utility costs (net metering) and power emergency loads in times of power outages.

This includes PV modules, grid tied/battery backup inverter, batteries, battery cabinet, balance of system (racking, ground clips, lugs, wiring, DC combiner box, breakers and installation).
